Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide an apparatus for cutting a fiber-reinforced resin that makes it possible to suitably cut a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin composition containing relatively long reinforcing fibers in a state in which molten thermoplastic resin extruded from an extruder is not yet solidified. This apparatus for cutting a fiber-reinforced resin has vertically moveable upper and lower fixed blades for inserting and securing a fiber-reinforced resin extruded forward from an extruder, vertically moveable upper and lower cutting blades for moving the inserted fiber-reinforced resin along the front surfaces of each of the upper and lower fixed blades and cutting into said resin, and a longitudinally moveable moving means for causing the upper and lower cutting blades to move forward in the state of cutting into the resin. Said apparatus tears off the fiber-reinforced resin and cuts said resin to a predetermined length.
