Abstract:
In the present invention, first, X-rays L are emitted from an X-ray source toward a fiber bundle and an X-ray transmission image of the fiber bundle is captured by an imaging sensor disposed so as to oppose the X-ray source. Next, the fineness of the fiber bundle is evaluated on the basis of a brightness area that is the product of an X-ray transmission brightness obtained from the X-ray transmission image captured by the image sensor and the number of pixels from among the pixels composing the light reception surface of the image sensor that correspond to the width of the fiber bundle.
