Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber structure containing cellulosic fiber with hardly any deterioration in tensile strength and dimensional shrinkage in repeated washing.

CONSTITUTION: A fiber structure containing cellulosic fiber is obtained by filling micropores present in the interior of the cellulosic fiber with (a) a polymer of a monomer having at least one polymerizable double bond and/or a prepolymer or (b) a gelatinized aqueous polymer or (c) a gelatinized substance of the monomer and/or prepolymer of the component (a) and an aqueous polymer. Furthermore, a method for producing the fiber structure is provided.
