Abstract:
To solve the problem that a fiber stub is apt to be obliquely press-fitted into a holder when being press-fitted, and its manufacturing yield is low and its connection loss is liable to be reduced.
In the fiber stub 9 holding an optical fiber 4 in a through hole of a ferrule 3, its one end part is provided with a small diameter part 9C having an outer diameter smaller than that at another end part.
