PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent containing two kinds of extracts originating from vegetables as essential components, effective for synergistically increasing the fibroblast proliferation promoting action and preventing and ameliorating various diseases of skin and/or scalp and useful as a preparation for external use for skin, a bathing agent, etc.
SOLUTION: This agent contains (A) a water-extract of chlorella and (B) an extract of Aloe vera as essential components. The component A is produced by extracting raw or dried chlorella with water or hot water and the component B is produced by squeezing raw or crushed Aloe vera (leaf or stalk) or extracting with a solvent. The agent can be used as it is or in the form compounded to a preparation for external use for skin, a bathing agent or a food or drink. The compounding amount of each essential component is ≥0.001wt.%, preferably 0.1-60wt.%. The agent is effective for the prevention and treatment of lesion such as eczema, chapped skin and atopic dermatitis.
