Title:
FIBROUS MATERIAL FOR FIBER-REINFORCED CEMENT-BASED COMPOSITE AND PRODUCTION OF THE COMPOSITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04193750
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the dispersibility of a fibrous material, to enhance the adhesion of the fibrous material to a cement-based material and to improve a fiber reinforcing effect by forming a coating film on the reinforcing fibrous material for a cement-based composite with an alkaline soln. of fermentable polysaccharides before the materials are mixed.

CONSTITUTION: A cement-based material and a fibrous material are previously dry-mixed, water is then added, and the mixture is kneaded to produce a fiber- reinforced cement-based composite. In this case, a coating film of an alkaline soln. of fermentable polysaccharides is previously formed on the fibrous material. Xanthan gum, pullulan, dulun gum, curdlan, etc., are exemplified as the fermentable polysaccharides, and curdlan is most preferably used. About 0.01-10wt.% (dried material) of the polysaccharides are used to coat the fibrous material.
