PURPOSE: To uniformly heat a wrapped food item in a microwave oven by providing a composite material with an extended part over an edge of the food item, forming a flap around the food item by the extended part, extending the flap over a cutout portion, and fixing the food item in the cutout portion of a holding unit.

CONSTITUTION: Two food items 10 are placed on a sheet 11 of a composite material, a part 12 of the composite material is folded to an upper side of the food items so that it covers the food items and is kept into contact with the outer surfaces thereof. A part of the composite material is extended over an edge of each food item to form a flap which surrounds at least a part of a periphery of each food item. A holding unit 13 is made of a cardboard, and comprises two cutout portions or holes 14. The food items 10 covered by the composite material are placed in these holes 14, and the cardboard holding unit 13 is bent so that the flap is sandwiched between the flat faces of the holding unit 13, and the food items 10 are fixed. An elastic cord 17 is mounted on the holes 15 of the holding unit 13, and the cord 17 is twisted before the package is suspended inside of the over, so that the package is rotated inside the oven, which helps the uniform heating of the food items.
