Title:
FIELD EMISSION LIGHT-EMITTING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010212004
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a field emission light-emitting element that achieves simplification of the structure of a control electrode and allows control of a field emission current by a simple structure.

A control electrode 2 is formed on a substrate 1 while the whole control electrode 2 is covered with an insulating layer 3. An electron emitting layer 4 including carbon nanotubes is arranged on the insulating layer 3. A light-emitting layer 5 is arranged oppositely to the electron emitting layer 4 so as to emit light by electrons emitted from the electron emitting layer 4. That is, the control electrode 2 is arranged below the electron emitting layer 4 across the insulating layer 3 so as to make the control electrode 2 have a flat and simple structure. The carbon nanotube is formed into a net-like film. A coverage of the carbon nanotube film with respect to a base is set to ≤1%.
