Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field illumination device capable of preventing a failure to turn off a field illumination and suppressing battery consumption.SOLUTION: A field illumination device 10 illuminating an inside of a field of view of a polar telescope 1, includes: a light emitting element 12 illuminating the inside of the field of view of the polar telescope 1; and a lighting time control unit 14 serving as automatic light-out means for attenuating the brightness of the light emitting element 12 in predetermined time. Thereby the light emitting element 12 can be surely turned off in the predetermined time.
