PURPOSE: To facilitate the operator's operation to reduce the operating miss, by overlapping the original picture and the inputted picture on the screen in the figure input system where figure information is displayed.

CONSTITUTION: An original picture corresponding to original picture 2 where figure information to be inputted is recording is projected onto screen 10. The operator operates light pen 4 on screen 10 on a basis of the projected original picture and operates keyboard 3 to input and process figure information, and figure information are written successively into memory 11 of data processing part 1 and are projected onto display screen 6. The projected image is projected onto screen 10, and the inputted picture is overlapped with the original picture. The operator decides the overlap state between the inputted picture and the original picture and performs the input processing or the correction processing.
