Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease scattering of characteristics so as to improve mass- productivity by making holding parts provided in a pair of electrodes hold both ends of a single-wound coil so as to heat this coil by applying current in inactive gas atmosphere.

CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a single-wound coil 10, which is obtained by dissolving a core wire 8 after heating a tungsten wire 9 wound continuously round the core wire 8 in a heating furnace and cutting it into the specified length, are inserted and held in a hole 5 and a groove 6 of electrodes 3, 4. When the coil 10 is applied with current and heated at a temperature of 1300W2000°C for 2 to 5 seconds by applying voltage between the electrodes 3, 4 while introducing inactive gas into a case 1, a U-shaped filament coil 11 can be obtained. Since the coil is applied with current in the inactive gas, the scattering of characteristics resulting from the scattering of the shapes and dimensions of coils is small and there is no damage, so the processing in the next process can be performed without obstacle.
