Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the life till breakage by adding doping agent consisting of high fursing point ceramic material to a filament consisting of tungsten material.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a coil-like filament 3 are connected between lead wires 2, 2 protruding in a bulb 1 of glass, and the filament 3 is supported by an anchor 4 is necessary. The filament 3 is obtained by adding doping agent consisting of high fusing point ceramic material to a filament consisting of tungsten material. That is, by doping high fusing point ceramic material such as TaC, ZrC, NbB2, or TaSi2 to tungsten, molecular structure of tungsten is changed to be long fibers, and its notching speed is reduced. The life of the filament 3 for a lamp can thus be increased.
