Abstract:

To provide filaments comprising carbon nanotubes as principal component and to provide a method for producing the same.

The method for producing the filaments comprises a process forming nanotube aggregates composed of a plurality of carbon nanotubes obtained by overlapping carbon from a gas phase and aggregated to form a network. The method includes a process drawing the aggregate of the nanotubes and a process overlapping the nanotube aggregates. The drawing process is carried out in a plurality of times inserting the overlapping process. The drawing direction in the plurality of drawing is preferably held in a mostly constant direction.
