A filament winding automation system is provided with: a winding device which winds a fiber bundle R paid out from head sections 12, 13 around a mandrel M1; a placing device 5 which places the mandrel M1 before being wound at a winding position; a discharging device 5 which discharges the mandrel after being wound from the winding position; a delivery device 3 which delivers the fiber bundle R from the mandrel after being wound to the mandrel M1 before being wound while holding the fiber bundle R; and a cutting device which cuts the fiber bundle R. After winding ends, the delivery device 3 holds the fiber bundle R paid out from the head sections 12, 13, the cutting device cuts and separates the fiber bundle R from the mandrel after being wound, the discharging device 5 discharges the mandrel after being wound, the placing device places the mandrel M1 before being wound and the winding device starts to wind the fiber bundle R held by the delivery device 3 around the mandrel M1 before being wound.
