To reduce the burden of a worker for supporting a filamentary body, to reliably arrange the filamentary body at a center of a rotary drum, and to beautifully and reliably wind a tape with the minimum consumption by eliminating a space between the filamentary bodies.
A filamentary body supporting mechanism 3 for supporting the filamentary body 33 when inserting the filamentary body into a cutout part 8 of a rotary drum 6 for winding a tape is equipped with a pair of freely openable/closable arms 21, and an advancible/retractable holder 22 for forming a closed space 44 between the arms and itself while a pair of the arms are across each other. The filamentary body is held from three sides in the closed space by a pair of the arms and the holder. The arms and the holder have curved surfaces 38 and 39 to hold the filamentary body. The center of the closed space 44 is matched with the center S of the rotary drum 6.
