PURPOSE: To prevent interference mutually between file users by storing corre spondence between a virtual file name and a real file name in each file user when file accesses from the plural users are controlled.

CONSTITUTION: A file access system is composed of plural file users 1 (file users X and Y), filer presenter 2 and real file storage pat 3. The file user 1 selects one of the virtual file name in a virtual file name memory 11 and activates a file access means 22 in the file prenter 2. Next, this file access means 22 refers a conversion table 21 and converts the virtual file name presented by the file user 1 to the real file name. Further, the file access is executed according to the real file name and the objective file is presented to the correspondent file user 1.
