Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a file input/output control system with which the result of input/output processing can be surely reflected while keeping the consistency of data between a buffer pool and an external storage device.
CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with a file status table 22 having a block type access flag to be set 'on' in case of using a buffer for a file to be accessed when block type file access is performed and a character type access discriminating part 23 for preventing the permission of character type file access when the block type access flag is turned on in the case of performing character type file access from an application program.
