PURPOSE: To enable various judgments without confirming contents in respect to a result file which is outputted with, the execution of a work program at a computer and displayed at a display device as a list.

CONSTITUTION: A monitor program part 30 to investigate the state of a result file 20 outputted from a work program part 10 and a file list display program part 40 to display the list of pictorial characters corresponding to the result file 20 on a display device 50 are prepared on the computer. The file list display program part 40 obtains information concerning the result file 20 from the monitor program part 30 and applies any visual effect corresponding to the state to the pictorial characters. For example, when a wrong result is outputted to the file, the pictorial characters corresponding to the result file 20 are turned on/off.
