To provide a filing binding leg, the length of which can be easily adjusted in response to the increase and decrease in number of paper sheets, and a backwidth adjustable file equipped with the binding leg.
This filing binding leg consists of one set of flexible filing legs, each of which is inserted in one of two binding holes provided on each of paper sheets and is formed by including a binding-leg strap main body having a broad-widthed nearly square cross section and a pointed tip, a securing base part provided at the base end of the binding leg main body normal thereto and a securing part consisting of a securing blade provided from both the edges of the securing base part parallel to the binding leg main body, wherein a plurality of recessed grooves are formed on the top face of the binding leg main body and, in addition, widthwise notched grooves are provided at the base part of the binding leg main body and, at the same time, a small projection is respectively provided at the outside side part of the tip of the securing blade of the securing part.
