Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a filler metal which provides a weld metal having an improved high temp. creep characteristic by incorporating a specific ratio of B and Zr in an Ni-contg. heat resistant alloy.
CONSTITUTION: A filler metal is prepd. by incorporating 0.003W0.01wt% B and 0.01W0.15wt% Zr in an Ni-contg. heat resistant alloy and specifying the sum total of the contents of B and Zr to 0.015W0.15wt%. If such filler metal is used for welding an Ni-contg. heat resistant alloy used at a high temp. up to around 1,000°C, the weld metal has the high temp. strength equivalent to the high temp. strength of the base metal and the generation of a defect such as a creep phenomenon or the like occuring in the weld metal is prevented.
