PURPOSE: To provide a filler for a cooling tower in which a dry air duct for preventing white fuming of a crossflow type cooling tower is disposed at a predetermined position of a wet air duct.

CONSTITUTION: A filler 1 for a white fuming preventing cooling tower comprises a dry air duct disposed at the predetermined position of a wet air duct of a crossflow type cooling tower, a cutout 12 formed substantially in a horizontal direction from an intermediate position of the height direction of two filling plate materials 11 to an upper position, and a shade plate 2 inserted into the cutout 12 to form a dry air duct. Thus, the cutout 12 is formed at the position where is easily covered with the plate 2, the plate 2 is mounted to form the dry air duct, and the plate 2 is removed to be switched to the wet air duct. Accordingly, it is regulated to be attached or detached in response to season to prevent white fuming.
