PURPOSE: To provide a filling apparatus in which the cartridge of a discharge gun can be easily filled with adhesive.

CONSTITUTION: A frame 31 is provided with a jack 32. The jack 32 has a support shaft 321, which moves vertically when an input shaft 322 is rotated. The upper end of the support shaft 321 is provided with a mounting plate 39. A receiving container 60 storing adhesive is mounted on the mounting plate 39. A plunger 42 is fitted in the inner periphery of the receiving container 60 so as to slide freely. A fitting hole (unshown) vertically passing through the plunger is formed in the plunger 42. The discharge opening 22 of the discharge gun is fitted into the fitting hole. The frame 31 is also provided with a support rod 43 extending downward. The lower end of the support rod 43 is provided with a plunger presser foot (unshown) hindering the plunger 42 from moving upward.
