Abstract:

To provide a filling machine which can assure perfectness of a seal of a packaging bag on a high level.

The filling machine includes a filling means for filling the packaging bag 100 with solid-containing-contents from a filling nozzle 34, and a sealing means for sealing an opening 100a of the bag filled with the contents by the filling machine. A primary sealer 3 for linearly clamping the opening 100a and a secondary sealer 38 for clamping the opening 100a clamped by the primary sealer 37 over a wider width than the primary sealer 37 are provided as the sealing means. The machine further includes means (35 and 3) for detecting whether a liquid drips from the filling nozzle 34 is present and identifying the packaging bag which passes immediately below the nozzle 34 when the drip is detected, and means (41 and 3) for detecting whether a solid substance is caught up in sealing by the secondary sealer 38 and identifying the packaging bag with the substance caught.
