Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for filling simply and efficiently a catalyst for manufacturing bisphenol A into a reactor without generating change in properties and deterioration.
CONSTITUTION: A method for filling a catalyst for manufacturing bisphenol A consisting of a resin contg. both a modified sulfonic acid type cation exchange group modified with a sulfur-contg. amine compd. and an unmodified sulfonic acid type cation exchange group is provided. The method consists of a catalyst preparing process (i) wherein the catalyst for manufacturing bisphenol A is formed by reacting an unmodified resin with a sulfur-contg. amine compd. in a catalyst preparing tank 3 arranged in being adjoining to a reactor 1 and a catalyst filling process (ii) wherein the reaction product is taken out of the catalyst preparing process and it is filled into the reactor 1. The catalyst preparing process (i) and the catalyst filling process (ii) are successively repeated.
