To provide a film cassette for an endoscopic camera which is good in the feel of operation capable of smoothly attaching and detaching the film cassette into and from the camera by projecting and sinking the engaging sec tion of the film cassette simultaneously loading of the film cassette into the camera and opening and closing of a cap.
The top surface of a film winding section 12 of the film cassette 2 is mounted with a lever 31 which is fixed at one end is elastically deformed by pressing the engaging section 17b with a pressurizing section in the central part to put the engaging section into a sunk state so as to project the salient piece 31b on the other end side. When the film cassette is loaded into the camera 3A and the cap 35 is closed, the salient piece 31b is pressed to a front side by the cap 35, by which the lever 31 is elastically deformed. The pressing section is moved to project the engaging section 17b by the energizing force of a spring and to engage the same with an engaging pawl 15 on the camera 3A side, by which the loading or the like of the film cassette 2 into the camera 3A without a resistance is made possible.
