A coating film 70 is conveyed unnecessarily when a recording paper is not coated with resin in an accelerating period Ta and a decelerating period Td of the coating film 70. In addition, it is difficult to perform coating throughout a constant speed period Tb in which the coating film 70 is moved at the conveying speed of the recording paper. A predetermined length of coating film 70 is used unnecessarily in the above period. By reversely rotating a supply reel 66 after the decelerating period Td, the coating film 70 corresponding to the sum of the moving length of the coating film 70 and a predetermined length in the accelerating period Ta and the decelerating period Td is rewound to the supply reel 66.
