To provide a film cutting method and a device for dispensing with parallelism and straightness for a cutting blade and receiving blades, reducing pressing force for pressing the receiving blades to the cutting blade, and stably and surely cutting a film in a determined cutting width.
This film cutting device 1 is composed of a pair of receiving blades 2 and 2 having the receiving edges 5 and 5 on the tip and a rotary blade 3 determining a prescribed cutting width W and having a pair of side surfaces 7 and 7 for forming the peripheral edges 8 and 8 in a peripheral edge part. Since the rotary blade 3 moves in the cutting direction along the receiving edges 5 and 5, while rotating in a state of pressing the respective receiving blades 2 to the respective side surfaces 7, the film is surely and beautifully cut in the prescribed cutting width W by the push-cut action by cooperation of the peripheral edges 8 and 8 of the rotary blade 3 and the receiving edges 5 and 5 of the receiving blades 2 and 2 always abutting on the rotary blade 3 and disposed at a determined interval.
