Abstract:
PURPOSE: To discriminate the presence or absence of the perforation of a film loaded in a camera main body regardless of the traveling or stopping conditions of the film.
CONSTITUTION: As to a film detecting device provided with a photosensor which executes at least either detection whether or not the film is loaded in the camera main body or detection whether or not the perforation of the film loaded in the camera main body exists; the photosensor is disposed at a position corresponding to the moving path of a perforation 6, and also at least three light receiving parts 3a, 3b and 3c juxtaposed at equal intervals in the direction of the moving path of the perforation 6 are provided, and the light receiving parts 3a, 3b and 3c are disposed at positions where at least one of the light receiving parts receives light from a light emitting part 2 in the photosensor, and at least one of the light receiving parts does not receive the light from the light emitting part 2 because it is shielded from the light by the film 1 when the film 1 having the perforation 6 is loaded in the camera main body.
