To provide a film developing device that can greatly reduce amounts of respective processing liquids and eliminates the need for liquid management and is made greatly small-sized, wherein beltlike development unevenness of a film is prevented from occurring along the length because a processing liquid circulation amount becomes larger at both ends along the film width than at the center part of the film.
The film developing device is equipped with a developing reel 41 which has a spiral guide portion (film guide groove 412a), a developing tank 42 which houses at least a portion of the developing reel 41, a developing reel driving means (developing reel driving section 43) which drives and rotates the developing reel 41, a processing liquid supply means (liquid supply section 70) which fills the developing tank 42 with processing liquids, and a processing liquid discharging means (liquid discharging section 90) which discharges the respective processing liquids after development processing from the developing reel 41 in order, and the developing reel 41 is equipped with a circulation suppressing means (side plate 412) which suppresses circulation of processing liquids in the developing tank 42 to a film emulsion surface.
