PURPOSE: To provide a film feeding device for a camera eliminating the futile use of a film by feeding loaded film by one frame in the case of exchanging the power source battery and supplying the power, thereby preventing the multiexposure caused by photographing before and after a battery is exchanged, and unnecessitating that the loaded film is not rewound.

CONSTITUTION: The film is wound or rewound by actuating a film feeding means 11 consisting of a motor 11b, etc. Actuating the means 11 is stopped according to a signal expressing that a film moving detecting means 12 detects that the film is wound by a specified amount. When the power source battery 15 is exchanged and the power is supplied, the same value as at the time of feeding the film by one frame is set in the means 12 so as to stop the means 11 when the film is fed by one frame.
