Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject pollution-free resin excellent in corrosionproofness, useful for metal surface treating agents, or coatings, having in the molecule plural number of specific chelate-forming groups. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin can be obtained by incorporating (A) at least two chelate-forming groups, in one molecule, of the formula (R<1> and R<2> are each H, halogen, nitro, nitroso, cyano, 1-18C hydrocarbon, or 1-12C alkoxyalkyl) in (B) such a resin as an acrylic resin, epoxy resin, polyester resin, alkyd resin, or silicon-contg. resin.
