To provide a film forming composition suitable for mass production of a coating type antireflection film with sufficient antireflection, anti-abrasion and improved anti-fouling properties, and a polarizing plate and an image display device using the antireflection film.
The film forming composition comprises at least each one fluorine containing copolymer having a polysiloxane segment in the main chain and fluorine containing copolymer solely consisting of carbon atom(s) in the main chain, and content rate of the fluorine containing copolymer having the polysiloxane segment in the main chain is 30 mass% or less to the whole copolymer. The antireflection film contains a low refractive index layer formed by coating the film forming composition on a transparent support body. The polarizing plate uses the antireflection film for one of two protective films of the polarizing film. The image display device uses these antireflection film or the polarizing plate on the uppermost surface of the display.
