To provide a film guide holding mechanism for a camera capable of obtaining a feeding mechanism wherein the leading end of a film is surly caught by a spool and free from a failure in taking up the film at a low cost without increasing the number of components, as for a camera wherein a film is fed by being driven by a motor.

The film guide 2 is rotatably attached near the right end of the inside wall surface of a back cover 1. The film guide 2 is engaged with a bearing part which is integrally formed with the back cover 1, and the leading end part of the film guide is energized by a film guide spring 3 so as to press a spool surface. The film is surely guided when the film is loaded to the camera so that the leading end may be caught by the spool, and the film is pressed by a nearly constant pushing force irrespective of the taken-up quantity. Even in the case the taken-up quantity is increased, the pressure plate is prevented from floating up by using a guide rib.
