To provide a decorative molding method which performs effective preforming of a decorative film when a pattern is transferred to the surface of a finished product simultaneously with injection molding and can deeply draw a film with excellent transferability and appearance quality, and a decorative molding tool.

In this method, a strip decorative film is arranged so that the film can pass through a gap between a cavity side part and a core part constituting an injection molding tool and a preliminary drawing mold for the decorative film is arranged on the preinjection molding process side. Further, after preliminarily drawing the decorative film to nearly the shape of a surface to which the pattern is transferred of a resin molded object, the decorative film is continuously fed on into the injection molding tool, then a molten resin is injected into the injection molding tool, and thus the decorative molding of the molten resin is achieved.
