The film loading cassette equipped with a roller 25 which can move according to variation in the external diameter of a roll of a film stored in a cassette main body 1 while abutting against the outer periphery of the roll and a remaining quantity detection display rack 14 which slides according to the abutting position of the roller 25 to display the remaining quantity of the film, is provided with a release lever shaft 23 which moves by being made to abut against the abutting part of a device main body when the cassette main body 1 is loaded in a photographing device; when the release lever shaft 23 is pressed, the roller 25 leaves the outer periphery of the roll. During photography, the remaining quantity of the film is detected on the photographing device main body side according to the rotating speed of a film feed reel 2.
