To provide a film that has a high water absorption rate and suppressed permeation of impurities and gas.SOLUTION: Provided is a film, which is a film in which polyacrylic acid is present in the pores of a polyethylene-containing porous substrate, and in which the water absorption of the film measured according to JIS K7209 (2000) is 50% or more, and the air permeability of the film measured according to JIS P8117 (1998) is 3,000 sec/100 ml or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
