To automatically recognize a designated range of print, and produce photographic prints with a high magnification rate.
The view field range of a finder optical system for a film unit with lens is set so as to be approximately 12% (area ratio) of a exposure range 44 in a photographic film 23. Three PAR-bits 46 are copied into an optical marking area 45 located in the lower part of each photograph frame of the photographic film 23, and the photographic film 23 is set into the film unit with lens. The film unit with lens in which all of the photograph frames are photographed is carried into a developing miniature laboratory. First, the developing process is carried out, and the PAR-bit 46 copied into the optical marking area 45 is read from the photographic film 23 treated through the developing process. The photograph frame is read for every one in the printing process. The print range is determined on the basis of the image data in each photograph frame and the corresponding PAR-bit data, and the magnified print two times the normal print is produced with a extending ratio of two times.
