PURPOSE: To provide a film winder having a structure where a film supporting part is not brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of film even if the winding diameter of the film becomes large and surely winding the film on the spool in spite of the strong curling of a leader part at the time of automatically loading the film.

CONSTITUTION: As for a camera provided with an aperture frame 13 having an aperture 12 regulating a photographic image plane, a film winding chamber 15 provided at one side of the aperture frame 13 and winding the film F from a film cartridge P on the spool 16, a press roller 21a elastically brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the film F wound on the spool 16 and separating from the spool 16 as the winding diameter of the film F becomes large and a film supporting part 22 extended at the inside of the film winding chamber 15 from the aperture frame 13 and supporting the film F going to the spool 16, the film supporting part 22 is constituted of a different member from the aperture frame 13 and a linking means 36 separating the film supporting member 22 from the spool 16 together with the press roller 21a moving in accordance with a change in the winding diameter of the film F is provided.
