Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately detect the number of the perforations of a film with high reliability by obtaining the maximal and minimal values of output of a photoelectric element and simultaneously, the average value of the output of the photoelectric element, and comparing the obtained average value with an output signal level.

CONSTITUTION: This camera is equipped with a camera body 1, and a remote control unit 12 attachably/detachably fitted to the camera main body 1. At the time of loading a film, the maximal and minimal values of the output of the photoelectric element are obtained, the average value of the output of the photoelectric element is obtained from the maximal minimal values, and a reference value based on the average value is compared with the output signal level of the photoelectric element, so that the number of the perforations is counted. A film feeding state can be decided without exerting any resistance to the film, with the high reliability. Thus, the number of the perforations can be accurately counted at extremely high speed, with the high reliability.
