Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sufficiently hermetically sealed and easily removable filter assembly.
CONSTITUTION: This filter assembly 400 includes a molded collar 430, filter bag 420, annular supporting cage 450 and locking ring 460. The filter bag 420 filters particulate material and extends from below a cell plate 410. The collar 430 supports the filter bag and has a longitudinally extending portion 432 and a flange portion 434. This longitudinally extending portion 432 is fixed to the filter bag 420 under the cell plate 410 and the flange portion 434 extends as a rim above respective openings 415 along the cell plate 410. The collar 430 acts as a gasket for hermetically sealing the respective openings 415 of the cell plate 410.
