To provide a filter cleaner for selectively employing both of a dry cleaning system and a wet washing system corresponding to the quality, degree or the like of the contamination of a vertically placing type filter to clean up the filter.
The filter cleaner (C) is equipped with a casing (1) having an entrance and exit (10) for taking in and out the filter (F) provided to its upper part, the filter receiver (4) rising and falling in the casing (1), the brush body (2) provided between the entrance and exit (10) and the filter receiver (4), a jet nozzle (3) for ejecting a washing liquid to the Filter (F), a liquid drain part (16) and the suction port (7) capable of connecting a suction device for sucking air in the casing (1). The brush body (2) is provided to an on-off lid (12) so that the brush body (2) appears outside the casing (1) by the movement of the on-off lid (12) at the time of opening of the lid. A balance weight moving in a rising direction is allowed to act on the filter receiver (4). An electric heater (91) is provided at the contact position with the brush (22) of the brush body (2).
