Abstract:

To provide a filter for cleaning exhaust gas, in which particulates in the exhaust gas from a diesel engine are burned and removed even at temperature at an exhaust gas level and which has high collection efficiency of particulates.

The filter for cleaning exhaust gas has a plurality of cells being exhaust gas flow passages divided by partition walls consisting of an oxidation catalyst-deposited porous material. The average pore diameter of pores of the filter for cleaning exhaust gas is 15 m and the total pore volume of pores each having 5-25 m pore diameter is 85% of that of all pores. As a result, the filter for cleaning exhaust gas can be obtained, in which particulates are burned and removed at the temperature at the exhaust gas level and whose collection efficiency of particulates is improved.
