PURPOSE: To avoid the risk of generating leakage of a raw liquid due to a mis-operation in closing a frame and prevent an accidental plugging-up of an introducing hole for the raw liquid, by a method wherein each pair of filter cloths is independent from other pairs.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of filter cloths 11, 12 are suspended by passing a suspending bar 14 through a suspending-bar fitting part 15 of the pair, Velcro tape parts 22 provided at the lower ends of the filter cloths 11, 12 are fitted to Velcro tapes provided on take-up rolls 24, 25, and after closing the frame, the raw liquid is intoduced under pressure through an inflow hole 21. The inflow hole 21 is faced to a feeding hole 18 and the surface of a recessed part 23a of the diaphragm, and a close contact auxiliary member 19 is fitted in proximity to a lower part of the supply hole 18 of the filter cloth 11 and making contact with a filter plate 13, so that the raw liquid does not leak. After filtration is completed, the frame is opened and a filter cake is discharged while lowering the filter cloths 11, 12, in which case the cake can be discharged through an opened frame part because each pair of filter cloths is independent from other pairs. When the filters are lowered to the lowermost end, the feeding hole 18 part of the filter cloth 11 is separated from the filter cloth 12 and is washed with water ejected from a nozzle 26, so that the part can be washed easily.
