To provide a device capable of washing residue clogging a filter cloth by back washing of the filter cloth.
In a filter press 1, a recessed part 3 is surrounded with a filter frame 2 having a picture frame-shape. A plurality of filter plates 6 are covered with filter cloths 5 on its surfaces where the recessed part 3 is formed and arranged in parallel in an attachable/detachable manner. Filtering rooms 7 are constructed with the facing recessed parts 3 by attaching the adjacent filter plates 6. On each of the filter plates 6 and the filter clothes 5, original solution supplying holes 8, 8a by which the adjacent filtering rooms 7 mutually communicate are arranged. Filtrate outlet holes 9 communicating inside and outside of the filtering rooms 7 are arranged on a bottom frame part 2B of each of the filter frames 2. On an upper frame part 2a of each of the filter frames 2, it is arranged: a washing water conduit 15 which laterally lies together with a filter clothe 5 and filter plate 6 in a thickness direction of the upper frame part 2a and communicates to another one in a watertight manner when the filter plates 6 are attached each other so as to allow passage of washing water from washing water supply pump P1; and a washing water jet outlet 16 branching in plural ways in longitudinal direction in the upper frame part 2a from the washing water conduit 15 and communicating to the filtering rooms 7.
