Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the transport, storage and scrapping of a spent filter element by freely detachably mounting a filter holder around the filter.
SOLUTION: This filter element contains a water-permeable cylinder and is fabricated by covering and fixing a cylindrical filter formed by folding a nonwoven fabric around a cylinder with a filter holder 2. The holder 2 is formed by connecting two semicylindrical stainless steel sheets 3 having permeation holes with a hinge 5, clamping the two sheets with a clamp 6 provided to the reinforcing plate 7 at the upper, intermediate and lower ends of the sheets 3 on the other end and joining the sheets. The elements are changed by detaching the clamp 6, opening the holder 2 to both ends with the hinge 5 as a center and detaching the contained spent filter. The detached spent filter can be compressed vertically and toward the center since the holder 2 is removed.
