Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure higher airtightness between continuously-arranged air filters by eliminating the unevenness of the outside of a side plate of a filter frame in an air filter where a filter material is attachable to and detachable from the filter frame.SOLUTION: A top plate 13 is removable from a frame body consisting of a pair of side plates 14, 14 and a bottom plate 15. A sheet-like filter material is folded into a pleat shape to form a filter material pack 12. The filter material pack 12 is mounted to the frame body so that folds of a pleat are parallel to the side plates 14, 14. Side edge parts folded along respective sides forming openings on the upstream and downstream sides of the filter frame are formed in the top plate 13, the side plates 14, 14, and the bottom plate 15. The length of the top plate 13 is made equal to or smaller than a distance between outer wall surfaces of the side plates 14, 14. The top plate 13 is fixed to the side plates 14, 14 by engaging a projection 13P provided inside a side edge part 13S of the top plate 13 with a hole 14H provided in a side edge part 14S of the side plate 14.
