Abstract:
To provide a filter material permeating erythrocytes and plasmas and efficiently removing leukocytes and thrombocytes from a liquid containing leukocytes and thrombocytes such as whole blood, and to provide a new polymer useful for the same.
The filter for removing thrombocyte and leukocyte is characterized by the graft or block copolymer having a polymer segment of monomer with a basic nitrogen functional group and a polymer segment of monomer with a no-ionic hydrophilic group on the surface of the base material of the filter at least. The graft or block copolymer consists of the polymer segment of monomer with the non-ionic hydrophilic group and the polymer segment of monomer with the basic nitrogen functional group.
