To provide a filter plate moving chain of a filter press scarcely causing coming-off of the chain or seizure of sliding parts due to corrosion even when an acidic solution of e.g. hydrochloric or sulfuric acid leaks through clearances between filter plates and allows reduction of the frequency of repair, e.g. replacement.
The filter plate moving chain is for the filter press used to filter a slurry containing an acidic solution under pressure. The pins of the chain, the inner chain plate and the outer chain plate are made of a metal material having high durability to acidic solution, and the sleeve and the roller are composed of a resin material having high mechanical strength. The metal material is selected from titanium and its alloys. The resin material is one or a mixture of resins selected from engineering plastics and super-engineering plastics.
