Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter plate opening/closing abnormality detection device in a filter press and a control method, allowing early knowledge of occurrence of an abnormal situation of a slide part.SOLUTION: The filter cloth traveling filter press includes: a detection device 11 which is disposed in one end of a slide shaft 9 and detects a thrust load F acting on the slide shaft 9; and a controller 39 controlling opening/closing movement of filter plates 5 based on the thrust load F. Thereby, the movement of the filter plates 5 is stopped in opening/closing abnormality of the filter plates 5 to prevent damage to equipment related to the slide part, so that risk of component breakage or an overhaul, or furthermore an operation stop over a long period can be reduced.
