PURPOSE: To remove coarse particles in a polymer latex continuously in good efficiency without encountering clogging of a filter medium in pressure filtration, by providing a rotatable filter equipped with a perforated plate for removing cullet.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet 1 for feeding a polymer latex of, e.g., ABS resin or butadiene rubber is provided with a seal member 2 at its upstream end. A filter member 4 which can rotate in close contact with the seal member 2 is equipped with a perforated plate 3 for removing cullet. An exit 6 for the filtered latex is connected to the back side of the filter member 4 through a seal member 5 provided in close contact with the filter member 4. A rotary shaft 7 rotates the filter member 4. A back-washing liquid feed inlet 8 for removing coarse particles such as coarse polymer particles deposited on the perforated plate 3 in the filter member 4 or other coarse foreign matter particles by washing with the liquid is provided in a position outside the exit 6.
